Capacity-Building Assistance for Training Needs Assessment among Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) Leaders at MBS Al-Amin Bojonegoro

Background: This community service initiative tackles the difficulties encountered by the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Al Amin Bojonegoro in implementing effective training programs, stemming from an absence of systematic needs analysis. Contribution: The initiative sought to improve managerial abilities by participatory mentoring in training needs assessment, utilizing digital technology and data-driven approaches. Method: A participatory approach was utilized, engaging IPM administrators in the identification of needs, the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs. Data were gathered via surveys, interviews, and observations, thereafter analyzed employing both quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. Results: The findings indicate a substantial enhancement in participants' comprehension of training requirements analysis, increasing from 40% to 92%, as well as an elevation in managerial planning capability from 50% to 88%. Additionally, member engagement in organizational activities increased by 38%, and satisfaction with training content attained 93%. The incorporation of digital technologies enabled effective data collecting and interaction, and project-based learning permitted the practical application of acquired skills. These results validate the efficacy of participatory and technology-assisted approaches in improving young leadership and organizational capability. Conclusion: This effort achieved its immediate goals and enhanced the overall understanding of community-based organizational development. It indicates the potential for replication in analogous youth-led organizations and underscores the significance of durable, data-driven training programs. Future initiatives should engage a broader array of participants and implement project-based methodologies to enhance effect and promote enduring organizational change.
